The index closed up 14.39 points to close at 1181.17 on volume of 8,994 shares and 20,100 bonds worth a total of $266,516.

The Bank of Bermuda regained 50 cents lost on Wednesday to close at $23 on volume of 1,472 shares and Telco was up 50 cents to $31.50 on volume of 2,000.

Bank of Butterfield closed up 25 cents at $33 Wednesday on volume of 2,700 shares.

Belco ordinary shares and seven percent mortage notes were unchanged at $20 and $120 respectively.
