Barber shop opens in Spanish Point
Spanish Point.
Owner Mr. Edison Jones, who is a full-time firefighter, said he was in such demand as a barber that he decided to go into business.
He employs another barber Mr. Jaja Vanputten.
"Demand has been so great that I had to branch out into a more comfortable environment,'' said Mr. Jones. "Before I was operating from home and would occasionally lose a customer if I did not have the time or the space. So I am capitalising on my popularity.'' Portrait's Afrique will specialise in men's haircuts, particularly bald shaving, fading and special designs. His hairdressing equipment was bequeathed to him by his grandfather, who was a hairdresser at the Warwick Workman's Club.
