BBO extends its deadline
(BBO) first directory has persuaded the organisation to extend the deadline.
Individuals interested in having their small businesses included should be on board by the end of the year.
Small businesses can place half-page profiles in the directory for a fee of $150.
The directory is slated for free distribution in February.
"Subscriptions (for inclusion in) the directory have been coming in steadily since early November and the BBO wishes to give every small business the opportunity to list,'' the organisation said.
"The directory, the first venture of the recently-formed BBO, will profile small businesses, enhance their visibility in the community and increase the potential for generating higher revenues,'' the BBO said.
Local research company, Research Innovations Ltd., headed by Mr. Walton Brown, is preparing the directory for the BBO which is headed by Brown Charters owner Mr. Murray Brown.
REID STREET BRANCH TO RE-OPEN BUC Reid Street branch to re-open The Bank of Butterfield's Reid Street branch is scheduled to re-open today, according to a release from the bank.
"This opening represents a significant milestone in the bank's head office redevelopment project.
"The new Reid Street entrance includes a fully refurbished banking hall, corporate tellers, commercial deposits as well as Bermuda's first 24-hour secure, self-service banking facility,'' the bank said.
The Reid Street level will also provide a wheelchair accessible entrance to the bank's head office.
"We are especially pleased to have removed the construction scaffolding from Reid Street itself,'' said bank president and CEO Mr. Michael Collier. "This will allow normal traffic flow for this busy time of year,'' he said.
Construction on the head office continues with completion of the new complex anticipated in late 1996.
