5.46 points to close at 1155.69 in active trading.

Belco shares led the way, gaining 50 cents to close at $19.50 on volume of 622 shares.

Also moving up were Bank of Butterfield, which increased 25 cents to $32 on volume of 600 while BAS, which last traded in January, also rose 25 cent to $3.50 on volume of 2000.

Trading unchanged were: Bank of Bermuda, $22.25 on volume of 7280; Argus, $10, 1454; and Bank of Bermuda 9% notes, $107.25, 420 units.

Chips Ltd., trading for the first time since closing its public offering, was unchanged at $6.50 on volume of 1,000.
