MICOA believes it is one of the first medical professional liability companies in the US to offer rent-a-captive services, which the company is offering via a newly-formed subsidiary, MICOA Consulting LLC.

MICOA Consulting will provide alternative risk financing and other non-traditional insurance solutions.

Among them: insurance fronting services, reinsurance, self-insurance modelling, consulting services, captive management services, a rent-a-captive facility, loss control consulting services, captive underwriting services, risk management information systems and casualty actuarial services.
