Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSE) closed up 4.71 points or .44 percent at

Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 62.5 cents to close at $10.75 on volume of 1,480 while Bermuda Press Holdings gained 50 cents to close at $8.50 on volume of 324. Bank of Bermuda gained 25 cents to close at $19.625 on volume of 14,829.

Chips jumped 25 cents on volume of 100 to close at $6.50 while Bermuda Bakery gained 25 cents on volume of 300 to close at $18.25.

Bermuda Home closed up 12.5 cents at $6.875 on volume of 258.

Issues closing unchanged were; BF&M, $6.75, 11,535, Bank of Butterfield, $12, 6,877, Bank of Bermuda warrants, $3, 1,536, Bermuda Broadcasting, $5.25, 820, BF&M preferred, $10.25, 700, Telco, $38, 392, Bermuda Home preferred, $11, 167, and Belco, $20, 120.

Bank of Bermuda 9% Sub. US$ Cap. Nts. 2001 remained unchanged when $103,000 face traded at par.

Share volume for the week was 39,438 with a value of $511,229.

Total value of the week's trading was $614,229.
