The programme will cover: introduction to insurance, the major classes of insurance, the Bermuda insurance market, the insurance contract, the principles of reinsurance, risk management and captives.

Speakers from local organisations include Mr. Ian Linnegan, director of the BII; Mr. Peter Oliver, of Colonial Insurance; Mr. Ellis Wilkerson, of the Bank of Bermuda; Ms Libby Durrant, of BF&M General Insurance Company; and Mr. Carl Nanton, of the Argus group of companies.
