LOM SIGNS FREEWEST BUC LOM signs Freewest Montreal-based Freewest Resources Canada Inc. is pleased to announce that it has completed a recently announced private placement with LOM Capital Limited of Bermuda, acting on behalf of its clients. The private placement consists of 2,000,000 treasury common shares at a price of $0.25 a share for a total of $500,000. A finder's fee of 200,000 treasury common shares, supplemented by 200,000 warrants to purchase 200,000 shares at $0.325 cents for 18 months, is payable to LOM Capital Limited.

ACE A `STRONG BUY' BUC ACE a `strong buy' Late on Wednesday evening American analyst Charles Gates reinstated coverage of insurance concern Bermuda insurance giant ACE Ltd. with a `strong buy' recommendation and a $30 price target. Mr. Gates said that within the past 15 years, Ace has transformed itself from a `Fortune 500 captive' to a diversified, well-capitalised property-casualty insurer and reinsurer.
