Share volume was 15,778, valued at $225,449.38, as advancers led decliners three to one.

Mixed bank stocks saw the Bank of Bermuda lose $0.125 on a volume of 4,431 to close at $28.50; the Bank of Butterfield rose $0.125 on a volume of 2,447 to close at $16.375; and, Bermuda Commercial Bank rose 25 cents to close at $5.50 on a volume of 5,100.

The only other active issuer was TeleBermuda International, which rose 50 cents to a closing price of $8.50 on a volume of 3,800.
