Mr. Cabral has previously worked in Bermuda, New York, San Francisco, London, Madrid and Mexico City. He worked in Starr`s underwriting section in 1995. Mr.

Cabral has a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in development economics and politics from the the University of London.

Mr. Hardy previously worked for Bowring Marsh & McLennan as director of the company and as director of its international and risk management practice.

During his 17 years with the Marsh group, Mr. Hardy worked on the broking and servicing section for a range of UK and multinational clients. He also worked in the casualty and property departments.

Starr Excess offers excess general liability, directors and officers liability, and professional liability insurance. Starr said the two were hired as a result of growth in the company`s excess liability and professional liability lines.

NEWSLETTERS GO ONLINE BUC Newsletters go online Tricia Lines hopes international corporations want to reach out to the world with their newsletters. Her pubishing company, International Publication Lines (IPL), is in the business of placing corporations' newsletters on the Internet.

"We hope that international corporations and insurance companies want to do business with IPL so that they can increase their international exposure," she said. "IPL can help insurance companies get exposure in the US where they are not allowed to advertise." The newsletters are placed on IPL`s Internet site from which users around the world can access the information. IPL also provides editing and production services for corporations.

The business has been running for one year and has about ten clients. Ms Lines also employs one part time staff member at the business, located at 73 Front Street.
