Down steps down
Mr. R. Malcolm Brown was appointed deputy general manager of treasury at the Bank of N.T. Butterfield, not at the Bank of Bermuda as reported in yesterday's Business section.
Mr. Andrew Down has retired as a director of L. P. Gutteridge Ltd., where he headed the real estate sales division for more than ten years. Mr. Down joined LPG as a real estate sales agent and was instrumental in the development and marketing of several major condominium projects. He is also well known as a professional auctioneer and assessor.
Mr. R. Malcolm Brown has been appointed deputy general manager-treasury at the Bank of Bermuda. Mr. Brown served as deputy controller of foreign exchange at the Bermuda Monetary Authority before switching to banking in 1978. Most of his 14 years with the bank have been spent as head of its finance and planning department. Since 1990, he has been Assistant General Manager of its Treasury Division.
Miss Nicole Marsh, a Bermudian working for Jardine Insurance Brokers in London, has passed the Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute examinations, giving her the ACII designation.
