Extra flights top Minister's latest tourism roadshow
arrive in France this week.
Tourism Minister David Allen is hoping top level meetings with British Airways executives in Strasbourg will bear fruit for the Island.
BA top brass have asked to meet with the Minister whilst he attends the American Society of Travel Agents World Travel Congress this week.
And Mr. Allen said the meeting is expected to be followed up by another summit in London.
He said he will use the opportunity to push for extra BA flights from London to the Island, which currently stand at four during the summer and three in the winter.
BA is keen itself to build up service, with the eventual aim being a daily Gatwick to Bermuda flight. But they have been keen to stress that they want to see a slow and cautious approach to enhancing the route.
Meanwhile, Mr. Allen and tourism staff are setting out Bermuda's stall in Strasbourg at the World Travel Congress.
A Bermuda style cottage is the centrepiece of the Island's trade show stand.
On Tuesday evening a gala reception is being held for 200 of the top US travel agents who send Bermuda business.
