And businessman Mr. Charles Spanswick, who grew up near the area, said there will be plenty of food for thought and for the stomachs of those who attend.

Guest speaker at the forum, which begins at 7.30 p.m., will be Mr. Neville Darrell -- a Bermudian who works for the Employment Equity Office in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Spanswick described Mr. Darrell as a dynamic speaker who is heavily involved in community activities in Toronto, including the war against drugs.

He said his speech should be timely in light of the drug activity in the Naval Field area.

Mr. Spanswick said he will also use the forum to talk about his Portuguese heritage and "the future of the country''.

New UBP candidates and backbenchers have been invited to the forum, he added.

And the candidates will be allowed to speak if they desire.

Mr. Spanswick's G&R gombey group will be on hand for entertainment.

Refreshments will also be available from four restaurants and the MarketPlace in Somerset.
