A headline in Friday's business section incorrectly stated that Guy D.

Hengesbaugh had been appointed CEO of LaSalle Re Holdings Ltd. Mr. Hengesbaugh was appointed chief operating officer, or COO.

LaSalle Re Holdings Ltd. executive vice president, Guy D. Hengesbaugh, heads the list of staff at the Bermuda-based reinsurer who are on the move up the corporate ladder.

Mr. Hengesbaugh, who has been with Lasalle Re from its inception in 1993, has been named chief operating officer.

Chairman, president and CEO, Victor H. Blake, said, "Guy has made a significant contribution to the company since it began. His promotion positions LaSalle to pursue its strategic plan and development most effectively.'' Mr. Blake also noted, "The senior management of the company are supported by a cadre of young, progressive managers, who have been acknowledged as vital to our future.'' The round of promotions includes Andrew Cook, who is now senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Others are senior vice president, US underwriting RobLee Womack Jr.; assistant vice president, Finance Clare Morgan; assistant vice president, information technology Giovonni Joseph; human resources manager Cherry Viner; assistant underwriter Sean Belton.

Newcomers to the firm are assistant vice president, US underwriting Peter Vloedman, assistant vice president, finance Donna Tilden and Underwriting assistant, international Luke Roden.
