It's a collector's fantasy and a cycle enthusiast's dream. And for $5,000 it could be yours -- even though it has been valued at $10,000.
Perched in the display window of the New Winner's Edge bike shop, the 35-carat gold-plated frame racing bike, is only one of 35 bikes made by Ferrari.
The owner, who does not wish to be identified, wants to sell the bike which he acquired while in Italy.
Mr. Greg Hopkins, owner of the store, said it was the most valuable cycle he had ever tried to sell.
"We have had it for a couple of days.'' he said. "It's an Italian made bike with carbon fibre frame and wheels with top of the line brakes and gears.
"It would be ideal for the bike collector or someone who just wants to own a racing bike no one else has got.'' COLLECTOR'S DREAM -- Mr. Paul Medeiros, co-owner of the New Winner's Edge cycle shop, holds the 14-carat, gold-plated Colnado racing bike, currently for sale at the store.
