Jeffers appointed scholarship plan's enrolment director
Businessman and politician Mr. Charles Jeffers has returned to the Island and been appointed associate enrolment director of Scholarship Advisors International, the distributors of the Heritage International Scholarship Trust Plan.
Mr. Jeffers returns after leaving Bermuda in 1987 for a senior executive position in the Canadian head office of the distributor and its affiliate, Canadian American Financial Corp. (Canada) Ltd.
Mr. Jeffers was director of agencies, and then regional vice president, agencies. He decided to move back home after eight years.
The one-time PLP candidate, Mr. Jeffers was responsible for introducing the scholarship plan concept to the Bermuda market in 1969. For 18 years to 1987, he was the local enrolment director.
He is associated with Agency Heritage, where the enrolment director is Mr.
Winston J.R. Jones.
