Jupiter Power secures major contract
company, have secured a major contract to build a power plant in Cambodia.
The project is expected to greatly aid the economic development of that country with estimated total power sales slated to exceed $14 million after the first year.
Jupiter Power Holdings Ltd. a joint venture between Caterpillar Power Ventures international Ltd, Bermuda and Jupiter Power International of Calgary Canada, has begun construction activities for the 15 megawatts power plant to be installed in Phnom Penh.
Shipment of the power plant is expected to occur by May 1 2000, with commercial operations slated for June. Jupiter's contractor has confirmed that 3 engines have been delivered and are about to enter the packaging process.
When completed, the fully automatic computerised power installation will be the most modern and environmentally friendly power supply facility in the region.
