Lloyd's of London into one entity.

Lloyd's underwriter Wellington Underwriting Partnership said it had recruited four members of ACE's aviation team to its syndicate. Peter Williams, who left the ACE aviation syndicate a few months ago, will lead the team in Wellington's new division.

An ACE spokesperson said the company wished the former employees well in their new positions.

"We have a strong underwriting team left,'' she said. Nine employees are left in ACE's aviation division at Lloyd's. ACE's operations in London are being restructured under ACE Global Markets, made up of about 140 employees. The aim is to complete the restructuring by next year.

About 50 employees were made redundant when the restructuring began last year in the London market and a few others subsequently left.
