Sir Frank Blackman, who is the former Cabinet Secretary and head of the Barbados Civil Service has been appointed to chair the commission while Sir Clifford Hammett, a former Chief Justice of Fiji will be the judicial member.

The Premier, the Hon. Sir John Swan, has appointed the Hon. David Saul and the Hon. Maxwell Burgess to the commission while opposition leader Mr. Frederick Wade has appointed Mr. Walter Roberts and Mrs. Lois Browne-Evans.

Mr. Gladstone Bassett, who assisted the 1986 Boundaries Commission, has been retained as secretary.
