Bermuda Telephone Company Ltd. acting general manager Mr. Eugene Saunders confirmed that 220 residents Island-wide were awaiting telephone repairs after last week's stormy weather.
"We lost about five days of productivity due to the weather,'' he said, explaining the reason for the unusually-high backlog.
"We anticipate that by Monday we will have it all restored.'' Telco is also promising its inconvenienced customers a small percentage discount on their access line charge for every day that they are without proper telephone service.
