WEEKLY STOCKS UPDATE: KFC gains in big trade
rights issue and a corporate restructuring, rebounded in trading on the Bermuda Stock Ecnahnge last week.
In a single trade, about 16 percent of KFC Bermuda's stock traded in a single block. The issue gained 50 cents to $3.50 on 100,000 shares.
But the trade failed to offset a decline in the Bank of Butterfield's share price which dropped eight percent and helped drive the Exchange Index down 9.08 points to 908.03.
Elsewhere, two other issues gained and four were unchanged in light trading.
Telco gained $1 to $25 and Bank of Bermuda was up 25 cents to $17.25.
In other trading, Bank of Butterfield fell 75 cents to $9. Argus, BF&M preferred, Bermuda Home and Long Botham Boats were unchanged.
Some 114,685 shares worth $508,336 changed hands.
