Monetary Authority (BMA) has announced that there is $5.4 million more in circulation this Cup Match when compared with last year.
A total of $81.8 million in coins and notes is in circulation this holiday.
The figure is up 7.1 percent over last year when $76.4 million was around.
To meet the demand the BMA have issued $7.6 million in notes and coins to the Island's banks during this month. Last year the BMA released $7.5 million.
Cup Match is traditionally a period when the figure for notes and coins in circulation rises sharply. According to the BMA the seasonal peak is normally reversed "very quickly'' after the holiday.
