marketing partnership with New York-based Insurance Software and Systems (ISS) Inc. to promote their SICS Assumed Reinsurance System in Bermuda.

ACT said the SICS is the most widely used reinsurance system in North America, appealing to reinsurers, reinsurance management companies and insurers who handle a lot of reinsurance business. The system is particularly suited to manage multiple companies in multiple currencies.

Leading reinsurers using the programme include Zurich Reinsurance Centre Holdings and the first system in Bermuda was installed at Mid Ocean Re.

American Re, North American Re and Constitution Re are other notable users.

ISS president Mr. Robert Baxter said: "Bermuda has grown into a very important reinsurance centre which we believe will be best served by ACT and ISS pooling resources and working together.''
