AICPA chief to address local accountants
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Mr. Dominic Tarantino, at an Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda luncheon next Thursday, January 27.
The AICPA is the national professional association of CPAs, comprising more than 310,000 members in public practice, industry, Government and academia.
The speech, entitled "Meeting the Financial Reporting Needs of the Future, in a Global Context,'' will examine the forces effecting financial reporting such as the globalisation of the economy, the explosion of technology, and the complexity of business transactions.
Mr. Tarantino took over the chairmanship of the AICPA in September, 1993.
Previously, he completed five years as co-chairman and managing partner of the Price-Waterhouse US firm.
