introduction of May-to-September service between Bermuda and Connecticut.

A Boston company, Trans National Travel-The Haley Corporation, announced yesterday that the non-stop Viscount Air charter service from Hartford's Bradley International Airport will begin on May 25 and end on September 7.

Bradley International, on the outskirts of Connecticut's capital city, serves Connecticut, other centres in New England and residents in eastern New York who want "an alternative to busy JFK airport in New York City.'' Last year, some 1,400 travellers per month arrived in Bermuda from Connecticut.

TNT-Haley, which has organised successful Bermuda programmes from Rhode Island and Washington DC in the past, said it expected a total of 3,900 passengers during the summer operation.

The company will offer a hotel and air package for $399 a person.

Meanwhile, British Airways has announced a summer seat sale for travel between London and Bermuda.

"Bargain'' rates on trips between April and October will be on sale until April 30. Return fares start at $608.

The airline also revealed that a new Friday flight that starts on March 3 will run until it is replaced by a regular Thursday flight on March 30.

The popular BA Sunday flight that was featured last year will also be in operation for the longer period of June 4 to September 17.
