Aquarium society hosts saltwater workshops
for anyone interested in maintaining saltwater aquariums.
The July 24 workshop will feature a slide show presentation by Mr. John O'Malley, writer of the salt water column in Aquarium Fish Magazine.
Society President Mr. Craig Morfitt said: "Mr. O'Malley will explain how to maintain a salt water aquarium and will discuss the variety of equipment which is available in the hobby.'' The Bermuda Aquarium's Head Aquarist, Mrs. Jennifer Gray-Conklin, will also be on hand to assist with local information.
"She will be able to discuss the compatibility of various species in the aquarium and give information on how best to maintain healthy main fishes and invertebrates,'' said Mr. Morfitt.
He added that this was an opportunity for Bermuda's saltwater hobbyists to get together and learn from each other's experience.
"This is not simply a lecture, it is a workshop, and those attending will be able to get answers to their various problems.'' Admission is free for members of the Bermuda Fry-Angle Aquarium Society and for staff members of the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.
