Bank issues buoyed the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday, racing the index up by 17.30 to close at 1,220.07.

The Bank of Bermuda stock jumped by 75 cents to close at $23.75 on a trade volume of 1,165. Bank of Butterfield stock rose by a little more than 12 cents to close at 345 on a volume of 1,755.
Bank of Bermuda 9% US$ Notes went up by 50 cents to 1071 , after a trade of 12,000.
New listing FBS MBIC 1994 saw a trade of 40,000 to leave the price of 100 unchanged.
