Bank stock in BSX spotlight

Butterfield stock, the Bermuda Stock Exchange index moved to another record high yesterday, climbing 5.64 points to 1,389.4 after a combined total of 105,146 shares traded, valued at $1,665,795.13.
Bank of Butterfield was the most active stock, rising 25 cents to close at $15.25 after 88,715 shares changed hands. It followed the news of the planned departure of president and CEO, John Tugwell.
Advances led declines three to one. The single decline on a day when five issues traded, was Bank of Bermuda warrants, which lost 50 cents, closing at $5.50 on a volume of 1,480.
