gradings by one of the world's most respected business analysis companies.

The economic thumbs up came yesterday from Moody's Investors Service in New York who awarded Bermuda an AA1 rating.

And the analysts said the top marks had come because of prudent national economics and low debt levels.

The shift in Bermuda from being an Island dependent on tourism to a centre for international business was cited as one of the main factors in the high rating in Moody's annual report on Bermuda.
