EBS Ltd., a 24-hour electronic broking service for foreign exchange transaction services, has presented a private bill to Parliament indicating it wants to set up a transaction service here.

The company is one of the largest interbank brokers in the world with over 800 banks using EBS workstations to trade in 20 currency pairs. The private bill indicates that the company wants to set up an electronic commerce business to do transactions with European Union members.

CUTHBERT APPOINTED APP Cuthbert appointed Robert Cuthbert has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer at LaSalle Re Holdings Ltd. Mr. Cuthbert, 51, was previously chief financial officer of New York-based insurance holding company Gryphon Holdings Inc.

LISTING WITHDRAWAL BUC Listing withdrawal Jupiter Tyndall Specialist Fund Ltd. has withdrawn from listing on the Bermuda Stock Exchange the Brazil class, the Mexico class, and Korea smaller companies class of sub funds. The fund went into members' voluntary liquidation on January 28.
