While Key Tech, the holding company for the Bermuda Telephone Company, rose $4.00 to close at its 52 week high of $33.00 and Bermuda Bakery rose 95 cents to close at $19.95, a large volume of Bank of Butterfield and Belco stock changed hands on a lower price.

Bank of Butterfield fell 50 cents to close at $17.00 and BELCO dropped $1.00 to close at $20.00, 25 cents below its 52 week high.

Bank of Bermuda shares fell 90 cents to close at $29.10, a fall of 3 percent.

The index closed at 1,474.29, down nearly 1 percent, on a volume of 88,161 shares worth nearly $1.55 million.
