Buoyed by a 25 point gain on Thursday, the Bermuda Stock Exchange index closed up 23 points from the prior week.

Bank of Bermuda, the index's largest constituent, gained 50 cents closing at $17.50 and Bank of Butterfield gained 50 cents to $9.50. Belco closed up 75 cents at $19.75 while Argus gained 12.5 cents to $12.
Telco fell $1 to 24 and Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 25 cents to $3.75.
Some 58,996 shares worth $895,250 changed hands.
The index gained 23.36 points, or 2.54 percent, to 921.21.
