Stasia Dearing has been promoted to senior manager/treasury and capital markets.

Ms Dearing, a Bermudian, is responsible for the management of the Bank's trading activities, covering foreign exchange trading, money and market placements, customer call and fixed deposits and corporate marketing.

Mr. David Skinner has been promoted to senior manager/finance and planning.

Mr. Skinner, a Bermudian, has managed the Bank of Butterfield's finance and planning department since 1990.

He had previously been an audit manager with Coopers & Lybrand.

Mr. Ronald Viera has been promoted to senior manager/information systems.

Mr. Viera, a Bermudian, joined the Bank in 1979 as a computer operator. His duties include managing Butterfield's Domestic Banking Systems Support Unit.

Mrs. Fazeela Zavahir has been promoted to senior manager/treasury support services.

Mrs. Zavahir joined the Bank in 1982 from her native Sri Lanka, where shesc worked for Citibank.

Mrs. Zavahir is responsible for the management of all aspects of the Treasury Support Services Group, including correspondent banking, international money transfers, cash management, account reconciliations, data control and dealing room support.

Her responsibilities also involve the provision of support and guidance to Butterfield's overseas offices' treasury operations.

*** Ms Jenefer Brimmer , president of Homes International Consultants, Inc. Group of Companies USA, has returned home to Bermuda after five and a half years in New York to head up Thermax Bermuda, Nilfisk Bermuda, Bermuda Asthma & Allergy Relief Center, and Thermax Caribbean.

Ms Brimmer will be responsible for the finance of the companies and their business strategies and policies in both Bermuda and the US.

The companies are involved with home and industrial environment care and produces products such as a steam cleaner and a home envronmental cleaning system and an allergy vacuum cleaner.
