Mr. Keeling will be based in Bermuda and will report to Mr. Charles H. A.
Skey, whom, it is planned, he will succeed as underwriter for Mid Ocean.
Mid Ocean president Mr. Ian Heap said: "We are very fortunate to have found an underwriter of Henry Keeling's ability and experience.
"As deputy underwriter of Lloyd's Syndicate 51 (A. Taylor and others), from 1984 to date, he has earned an outstanding reputation as an international reinsurance underwriter.'' Pearman Watlington & Co. has announced two promotions.
Mr. Malcolm Swan has become general manager of PW's Motor Sales & Service Centre.
In his new capacity, Mr. Swan is responsible for the entire Motors operation, including all parts, service, PW's Esso station and the sale of private and commercial vehicles.
Previously, Mr. Swan's responsibilities did not include motor sales.
Mr. Dennis Hart has become manager of PW's Motor Service Centre. Mr. Hart's new role will include responsibility for the mechanical garage, the body shop, the paint shop and the new car preparation department.
Before his promotion, Mr. Hart managed the mechanical garage.
Both promotions were effective at the beginning of the month.
Five workers at Rosemont Guest Apartments, in Pembroke, have been awarded certificates for long service.
They are -- Mr. Frances Vlaughn , who has completed 20 years' service; Ms Gloria Moniz , 20 years; Ms Priscilla Simmons , 16 years; Ms Maria Pimental , 12 years; and Ms Audrey Sherwood , 11 years.
