joined L.P. Gutteridge's real estate sales department after passing her real estate examination.

Before changing her career, Ms Gonsalves worked for VSB for three years. She will continue with VSB as a part-time political correspondent.

Miss Gonsalves attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, where she earned a B.A. in English and Sociology.

She later read Shakespearean and Renaissance Drama and Literature at Exeter University, in England, before obtaining her MA degree.
