Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Mr. Madeiros graduated from Sheffield City Polytechnic, in England, in 1990 with an honours degree in urban land economics, specialising in property management and development and residential and commercial valuations. He is currently employed at the Bank of Bermuda's real estate division.
*** The new deputy group director of Forte Plc, which owns The Belmont, Harmony Hall and The Bermudiana hotels, paid a fleeting visit to Bermuda at the end of last week.
During his one night stay, Mr. Roy Tutty, pictured above, visited all three Forte properties on the Island, The Belmont, Harmony Hall and Bermudiana Hotels.
He checked on the empty Bermudiana Hotel to ensure the building was still in good condition, said Belmont manager Mr. Adrian Constant.
"I don't know what they intend doing with it,'' he said.
Mr. Tutty assumed his new position two weeks ago, being promoted from Chief Operating Officer for Forte Hotels.
His primary responsibilities will be for Forte's worldwide sales and marketing arm, as well as its property division.
He retains operational responsibilities for the 110 Forte Heritage hotels in the United Kingdom and 30 unbranded World of Forte hotels in the Caribbean (including Bermuda), Europe and the UK.
He is based in England.
Another position change which affects Bermuda is the appointment of Mr.
Lorenzo Giannuzzi to vice president, World of Forte Caribbean, which includes Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica and Guyana. PHOTO Mr. Roy Tutty.
