BSL has been authorised to sell and service LDC's Lotus Notes products. Lotus Notes is "the dominant client-server for the rapid development of groupware applications throughout the world'', according to BSL.

"Lotus Notes allows people to automate day to day business processes and procedures to unlock the true productivity potential or information systems,'' said a statement released by BSL.

"With Lotus Notes, people can access, collect, track, share and organise information in ways never before possible.'' Mr. Graham Pearson, BSL's sales and marketing manager, said: "We will differentiate our business around workgroup computing and provide our clients with solutions that integrate with existing systems and take account of current procedures.

"Notes will be a key ingredient for companies considering process re-engineering. BSL is positioned to assist with the design, development and implementation of these new systems.'' BSL claims to be Bermuda's largest systems integrator and has strategic relationships with Digital, DELL, Microsoft, NCR and Lotus, among others.

Lotus Development Corporation, which is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a market leader in desktop computing software, according to BSL.

The company has a staff of almost 5,000 and annual sales in excess of $1 billion.
