Professional Women's Clubs begins its annual conference today at the Grotto Bay Beach Hotel.

The conference culminates of the community service activities of the district's 57 adult and youth clubs.

National president Ms Catherine B. Sykes, who was listed in Ebony Magazine as one of "the 100 Most Influential Black Americans'' will attend the conference -- the first international one for the district.

At the opening session, Premier the Hon. Sir John Swan will bring greetings to the Association.

Friday's keynote speaker will be Opposition MP Mrs Lois Brown Evans and greetings will come from PLP leader Mr. Frederick Wade.

Local clubs will also be acknowledged for their community work at an awards luncheon on Saturday.
