Companies merge to integrate operations
companies which work alongside each other at offices on Par-La-Ville Road, should help to integrate operations, said the company's president.
The combined operations of Business Systems Ltd. and Internet (Bermuda) Ltd., both subsidiaries of Millennium International Ltd., will now be known as Logic Communications Ltd. The company has a staff of about 50. The company markets itself as helping companies integrate their computer and communications systems. The company is also targeting electronic commerce and data storage and management as profit areas.
Peter Durhager, who headed the Internet subsidiary has been made president and chief executive officer of Millennium and is president of Logic. Millennium is a publicly-traded holding company on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. Millennium also owns a subsidiary in the Bahamas which has a staff of 28.
Mr. Durhager said Logic is taking aim at international companies which might want to use Bermuda to store data, or to route transactions through for tax or legal reasons.
