Cruise ships return for another season
of several of the regular callers and a film star vessel.
Yesterday, the Norwegian Majesty arrived at Ordinance Island, St. George's for its first visit of the year out of Boston. It sails on Friday.
And the Zenith arrives tomorrow from Puerto Rico. It will berth at Hamilton, before sailing the same day for New York. On the same day, the Norwegian Dream sails into Dockyard from Miami with 1,785 people on board.
Also tomorrow, the Seven Seas Navigator comes into Hamilton with 450 people on board. It departs on Saturday.
And star of the big screen, Seabourn Legend , comes in to Hamilton for one day on Saturday.
The vessel, which brings 200 passengers, was featured in the film Speed 2, where a cruise ship was hijacked and set on a collision course with the mainland.
On the freight side, Meyer also report the arrival of the Bermuda Islander tomorrow with 142 containers on board including 17 refrigerated. It sails on Friday.
And on Saturday, the car ship Blue Ridge Highway comes into Hamilton. It will bring 183 cars and eleven crates of spare parts.
John S. Darrell report the LPG tanker Coralacopora in yesterday at St.
George's. It departed within the day.
Container Ship Management report the Oleander in on Sunday with 169 dry containers, three 40 foot containers, three trailers, 17 cars and four race boats. It sails on Sunday.
And last weekend saw a fleet of six NATO warships in at Dockyard and Hamilton.
The vessels, which came in on Friday, sailed on Monday morning.
