CURE forum on, open spaces meet rescheduled
Development and Opportunity Minister Terry Lister will get public reaction to Government's plan to introduce workplace race reporting at a meeting in Sandys tonight.
And to avoid a scheduling conflict, the Public Forum on Bermuda's Open Spaces, which is being hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, has been rescheduled to Thursday night.
The Commission for Unity and Race Equality meeting tonight at St. James' Hall is the first of six open forums on rule amendments which were thrown out by the Senate last month.
Yesterday Mr. Lister indicated public reaction might be taken into account in any revamp of the proposals.
CURE representatives will be at the 7.30 p.m. meeting.
The other meetings (also at 7.30 p.m.) are: April 20 -- St. George's Town Hall April 27 -- Francis Patton Primary May 4 -- Devonshire Recreation Club May 11 -- The Cathedral Hall May 18 -- Warwick Workman's Club For further details call CURE on 296-0613.
Speakers at Thursday's Open Space Committee forum include Environment Minister Arthur Hodgson, Conservation Officer Dr. David Wingate and developer Alan Burland.
It will be held at Sandys Middle School, Scott's Hill Road, Somerset at 7.30 p.m.
