Four are promoted at ZRC

company Zurich Centre Investment Ltd. (ZCI), yesterday announced appointments of four new company vice presidents.

Mr. David Cash, Ms Suzanne Martin, Ms Mary Anne Noonan and Mr. Bryan Ware will serve the treaty and facultative reinsurance company as new vice presidents, according to a release.

Mr. Cash, who joined ZRC in 1993 as an assistant vice president in the specialty casualty department, has been appointed vice president of that department and will be responsible for treaty reinsurance underwriting.

Before joining ZRC he was a consulting actuary with Tillinghast, working in the property casualty business.

He graduated from the University of Waterloo, and earned a Master of Science in Applied Statistics as a Rhodes Scholar at St. John College, Oxford. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA) and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).

Ms Martin, appointed actuarial vice president, joined ZRC in 1992 as an assistant vice president, pricing, in the actuarial department.

Before joining the company, she was an actuarial assistant at CIGNA Corp in the special risk division. She is a graduate of Drexel University and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and Fellow of the CAS.

Ms Noonan, appointed vice president, ZRC special, joined ZRC in 1993 as an assistant vice president in the facultative department and was responsible for the marketing and underwriting of primary casualty facultative business through intermediaries.

Prior to 1993, she was with Skandia American Reinsurance Corp. as an assistant vice president, responsible for underwriting casualty facultative business.

Ms Noonan graduated from Hobart and William Smith colleges.

ZRC's new vice president, actuarial, Mr. Ware, joined the company in 1993 as an assistant vice president, pricing, in the actuarial department.

Prior to joining ZRC, he worked at Sorema N.A., where he was the actuary responsible for all reinsurance pricing and reserving.
