Freighter brings in Southside material

Somers Isles came in from Florida on Monday morning carrying 94 containers including four refrigerated boxes.

She also unloaded three commercial trucks, one luxury car and about 50 bundles of lumber and steel and is due to depart tomorrow afternoon.

The motor vessel Australia also called on Monday with a load of prefabricated building parts for TeleBermuda International.

The parts will be put to use at Southside where TeleBermuda plans to build a 15,000 square-foot office building.

Bermuda Islander is expected to arrive from Salem, New Jersey tomorrow with 103 containers of which 11 are refrigerated.

Bermuda Islander is expected to head back to New Jersey on Friday morning.

The Oleander came in on Sunday and left yesterday morning after unloading 144 dry containers, 32 refrigerated containers, four flatbeds of construction material and 22 cars.
