Glusing sets up new company

Bermuda-registered cargo shipping group Cast amid dissatisfaction with the way it was being run, has set up a conventional liner operation, which is registered on the Island.

Mr. Klusing has established Orion Maritime with financing from ship-owning and banking sources, according to an article in Lloyd's List.

Orion Maritime will operate a two-sailing per month conventional service linking Antwerp and Immingham with the St. Lawrence River and Canadian and Great Lakes ports from March of next year.

Orion has appointed Independent Maritime Agencies as its UK agent. Following Mr. Glusing's resignation as president of Cast, the group issued a writ against him in Bermuda Supreme Court for $903,689.

At the time, Mr. Glusing's lawyer said the matter would be "vigorously defended'' and added that Mr. Glusing was pursuing a "substantial claim'' against Cast.
