HAMILTON -- The Bermuda Stock Exchange index rose over 13 points or nearly one percent yesterday after tow banks saw their stock price rise.

Bank of Bermuda rose 50 cents to $28.50 and Bank of Butterfield went up five cents to close at $15.25.
The only other change was BTC 7 3 percent corporate issues, which rose 50 cents to close at $95.00.
The index closed at 1,420.84, up 13.22 points on a volume of 14,026 shares worth $205,862.80.
