Hoteliers meet Govt.
agenda as top tourism officials met yesterday.
Hotel owners, Premier Jennifer Smith, Ministers and other hospitality executives were part of a 25-strong group that came together at Sonesta Beach Hotel.
Members discussed the alignment of Government and industry marketing plans, the development of a rapid decision making process between all sectors and educating the public about opportunities in tourism.
The private sector long term strategy for tourism, recently revealed in The Royal Gazette , was reviewed along with the Bermuda Experience Network and the coming season.
There were also talks on promoting family-friendly policies and on improving communications between "leading business people and Bermudian entrepreneurs''.
The event was led by Premier Smith and Hotel Owners Committee chairman Stephanie Sonnabend of the Sonesta group.
