Jewett has been appointed senior vice president in the underwriting and business development areas.

He is responsible for underwriting and marketing in the US.

Mr. Jewett, who has the CPCU designation, spent eight years in management at NAC Re where he served as vice president and manager of the casualty treaty department prior to joining Centre Re.

"Bill's combined networking, underwriting and management skills will be a great asset to the company. I'm excited about the significant contributions I know he will make to Centre Re,'' commented Mr. David Wasserman, president and CEO of Centre Re of New York.

Bermuda-based Centre Reinsurance Company has subsidiaries in New York, London and Dublin and provides reinsurance, insurance and finite risk management products.

Centre Re is a member of the Zurich Insurance Group which has $61 billion in assets and operates in over 40 countries.

Griffiths & Wanklyn Management Ltd., (G&W), recently announced the appointment of Mrs. Lisa S. Robinson to the position of assistant vice president.

Mrs. Robinson, a Bermudian, joined the company in 1990. Mrs. Robinson was also appointed assistant vice president of subsidiary Griffiths & Wanklyn Reinsurance Brokers Ltd.
