Mr. Herman Tucker, 39, a Civil Servant since 1982, is the new Director of Civil Aviation.

The post, recently changed following a revamp of the Civil Air Terminal, was previously held by Mr. James Pitman.

Mr. Tucker worked as a commercial pilot with Bermuda Executive Airways before joining Government in 1982 as an administrative trainee.

In 1983, he was attached to the Department of Civil Aviation, working closely with the operations officer.

Mr. Tucker was appointed to the post of operations officer in 1986.

Mr. Alvin Harvey, 33, is the new Protocol Officer in the Cabinet Office after the retirement of Ms Joan Williams, MBE.

Previously, he had worked for the Southampton Princess Hotel and the Stonington Beach Hotel.

Mr. Harvey has extensive knowledge and training in the hospitality industry, is Company Sergeant Major with the Bermuda Regiment, and is player and captain of the Teachers Rugby Team.

He has also captained the Bermuda National Rugby Team for the last three years. His other hobbies include golf and snorkelling.
