Local Update The index on the Bermuda Stock Exchange continued its fall, closing down 5.6 points at 982.98.

The fall came as a result of Bank of Bermuda stock, which dropped $0.37.5 to $17.12.5 on a volume of 900. The only other traded issue was Bank of Butterfield which closed up $0.12.5 at $10.62.5 on a volume of 2,972.
The total share volume of 3,872 was valued at $46,990.
