Managers gather for international meeting

around the world for meetings today and tomorrow at The Princess Hotel. The conference highlights Bermuda's position as a leading domicile for offshore funds, industry sources said.

The first time conference has been organised by the Centre for Business Intelligence, a division of the World Economic Development Congress.

Co-sponsoring organisations are the Bank of Bermuda and the Bank of Butterfield.

Business development officer at the Bank of Butterfield, Mr. Paul Lemmon, said the conference further establishes Bermuda's potential as a premier domicile for offshore funds.

He is co-chairing the conference with Bank of Bermuda manager of business development Ms Kathryn Siggins.

Mr. Lemmon said: "Bermuda is an ever increasing and growing market for this type of business. A significant number of delegates attending this conference are fund managers, who will be assessing Bermuda as a domicile.''
